This dissertation aims to investigate the practice of dialogic reading (Cf. BATISTA- SANTOS, 2018) within a women's penitentiary in Palmas - Tocantins, as a way of producing critical knowledge, reflection and identity formation, since it seeks to to create a learning space where incarcerated women can envision their voice being heard and legitimized, beyond the 'world of crime'. Its specific objective is: a) to investigate the construction of meanings through the practice of dialogic reading in the context of incarceration; b) analyze how the constitution of the reading identity of inmates (responsive reading women) took place.
