K. Sirvydas dictionary "Promptuarium dictionum Polonicarum, Latinarum et Lituanicarum" (1620) is distinguished from other written Lithuanian sources of the beginning of the 17th c. by the abundance of loanwords and hybrids. Others written works that appeared in GDL in Lithuanian language at that time were exclusively of religious character, which could have predetermined their narrow lexis. «Promptuarium» was targeting at the students of Vilnius Academy and included not only religious realities and this may be main reason, why considerable number of Slavic loanwords and Slavic-root hybrids are known only from this source, are not attested in other written works of GDL and Lithuania Minor.
