Names of the Christian origin made 94.1 % of the names given to boyars in the Grodno district. They were recorded in canonical and folk versions. Moreover, both forms were used almost equally often, with a slight majority (50.25 %) of the canonical over the folk versions (49.75 %). 33 names were recorded only in a canonical version, 53 names – in a folk version, while 17 names were written in both versions. Some forms of names could be of Western and/or Eastern origin. 12 names were written using only Eastern form, 8 names – using Western form, while 7 names were recorded using both forms.
