Aim of the study. Using social survey methodology, based on representative sample of Vilnius city municipality population profoundly explore different aspects of physical activity. Material and methods. Social survey methodology was used in the study. From permanent population list 1065 randomly selected respondents from Vilnius municipality participated in the study. Sample size was calculated using 5 percent random error. Twelve specially prepared interviewers used direct interview method using face to face interview. Statistical analysis was applied using IBM SPSS Statistics, ver. 21. Chi square test was applied to find differences in answers in 2x2 and 2xk contingency tables.
