The present study evaluated the hygienic sanitary conditions of the feeding and nutrition units of the municipal public schools of Simão Dias-SE. 26 elementary schools were analyzed through a checklist based on the good practice checklist for school feeding and nutrition units. The data was evaluated by the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 version, the Statistical Package for the Social Science, version 20.0, and the Good Practices in School Feeding application. It was observed that the average sanitary risk of the schools was regular (61.19%). 1 (3.84%) school was classified as high sanitary risk and 25 (96.15%) were classified as having a regular health risk.
