Lippia gracilis Schauer is a plant that belongs to the Verbenaceae family, is known as “alecrim-da-chapada” or “alecrim-de-tabuleiro”, and occure in the caatinga biome. Because of its bioactive potential, the essential oil of L. gracilis is been tested for control of different agriculture and livestock pests and diseases. One of these pests is the coconut mite, Aceria guerreronis (Acari: Eriophyidae), an important pest of the coconut crop in Brazil.
