Territórios e territorialidades em praças de Aracaju/SE

The squares are part of the layout of the western cities since Ancient Age, serving different uses, being versatile and relevant environments of the urban context. In Aracaju it is possible to observe how the squares constitute a rich space for the urban environment, showing a wide network of relations of its inhabitants with each other and the city. Power relations that are established in the markets lead to the formation of territories. In this context, the hypothesis to be defended is that knowledge of territoriality present in the markets constitutes an essential element for more efficient management. The general objective of the research is to analyze the territoriality of the squares, relating them to physical and cultural dimensions. The specific objectives, it has: reveal the territoriality present in Aracaju’s squares; evaluate the location, offer gifts equipment and its use in the squares; see how locals and regulars perform the symbolic appropriation of the squares; analyze how power relations influence the use of Aracaju’s squares. To achieve the stated objectives, the study was implemented in eight squares of Sergipe's capital. The research consisted of a literature review about the concepts of space, territory and territoriality, data collection in the field and crossing information obtained to indicate the existing territories. To see how the territoriality are made, we used the qualitative and quantitative evaluation matrix to the squares and interviews with surrounding residents and frequenters of the analyzed markets. The relationship between materiality and social actors are present in all the squares, in many different ways. The size of the territory that prevails in Aracaju’s squares is cultural, with the symbolic appropriation at different times of the day. The territories formed in the eight squares chosen for this study were classified into seven types: territory accessibility, territories of physical activity, trade territories, territories of children's club, territories of events, religious territories and topofobics territories. It follows, therefore, that analyze how territorialities constitute becomes an important management tool, enabling you to evaluate how passers make use of the square, making them sharers for better management and use of this important category of area recreation.As praças fazem parte do traçado das cidades ocidentais desde a Antiguidade, servindo a diferentes usos, sendo ambientes versáteis e relevantes do contexto urbano. Em Aracaju é possível observar como as praças se constituem em um rico espaço para o ambiente urbano, mostrando uma variada trama de relações de seus habitantes entre si e a cidade. As relações de poder que se estabelecem nas praças levam à formação de territórios. Neste contexto, a hipótese a ser defendida é que o conhecimento das territorialidades presentes nas praças constitui-se em elemento essencial à gestão mais eficiente. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar as territorialidades presentes nas praças, relacionando-as às dimensões física e cultural. Como objetivos específicos, tem-se: revelar as territorialidades presentes nas praças aracajuanas; avaliar a localização, oferta de equipamentos presentes e a sua utilização nas praças; verificar como moradores e frequentadores realizam a apropriação simbólica das praças; analisar como as relações de poder influenciam no uso das praças aracajuanas. Para alcançar os objetivos expostos, o estudo foi aplicado em oito praças da Capital sergipana. A pesquisa foi composta de revisão bibliográfica acerca dos conceitos de espaço, território e territorialidade, levantamento de dados em campo e cruzamento de informações obtidas para indicação dos territórios existentes. Para verificar como são constituídas as territorialidades, foram utilizadas a matriz quali-quantitativa para avaliação das praças e entrevistas com moradores do entorno e frequentadores das praças analisadas. As relações entre materialidade e atores sociais estão presentes em todas as praças, das mais diversas formas. A dimensão de território que prevalece nas praças aracajuanas é a cultural, com a apropriação simbólica em diversos momentos do dia. Os territórios formados nas oito praças escolhidas para este estudo foram classificados em sete tipos: territórios da acessibilidade, territórios da atividade física, territórios do comércio, territórios da recreação infantil, territórios dos eventos, territórios religiosos e territórios topofóbicos. Conclui-se, assim, que analisar como as territorialidades se constituem torna-se uma importante ferramenta de gestão, já que permite avaliar como os transeuntes fazem uso da praça, tornando-os partícipes para a melhor gestão e aproveitamento desta importante categoria de área de lazer
