Sedimentary Rocks

This is a course handout that accompanies the discussion of the origin of sedimentary rocks. Topics include depositional tectonic settings, texture as an indicator of energy levels in the depositional environment, interpretation of various sandstones, and the influences of paleoclimate and source area lithology.
