The brazilian education, between the decades 1930 and 1940, experienced several transformations, for example the expansion of elementary school and secondary school, associated with the expansion of private schools. In this context, the Colégio do Salvador was founded, an elementary teaching institution administered by women, members of a catholic family originating from the city of Santo Amaro da Purificação, in Bahia, who developed educational processes based on their faith.
