The present study aims to analyze the investigative dimension during the professional training, based on political-pedagogical projects of the public Social Work courses. The investigative dimension is understood as a constitutive principle that must permeate the professional formation in its transversality since unveiling the reality is crucial for a quality intervention. This conception aims to overcome the false dichotomy between theory and practice, besides becoming an instrument of defense and consolidation of the ethical-political project of the profession.
