Graphene quantum dots (GQD) has been strongly prominent, among the quantum dots. Because their extraordinary and tunable optical, electrical, chemical and structural properties. In opposite to other quantum dots the GQDs can be tuned by edge configuration, shaped and attached chemical functionality and doping with heteroatoms, being able to emit light in all colors of all visible spectrum. The work consists in investigating the optical and electronic properties of the GQDs starting with the simplest structure, the benzene, to larger hexagonal structures like C24H12, and C96H24.
