Educação financeira frente às decisões de consumo

This present work aims to detect the impact of financial education in the face of consumer offers related to credit and savings decisions. Studies indicate that financial education provides the improvement of skills and techniques about finance what result in more assertive decisionmaking processes. However, other aspects are influencing decisions. The most significant of those are: the strong impact of the media on the individual consumption decisions and the various credit offers available on the market, in an unbureaucratic and attractive way. The research was made out in two groups, each group composed of 40 students, all of them from the administration course. The first group was made up of students who have attended up to the fourth period, and, generally, have not had yet disciplines in the finance area. The second group, on the other hand, consists in students taking courses from the seventh period, and have already studied the main finance disciplines, if not all of them. The research is quantitative and descriptive, and the method used was the survey. Based on the results, it was possible to say that only the theoretical knowledge disseminated in universities is not enough for a formation of a great financial manager; and the practice of knowledge about finance represents better result, to the detriment of theory only. Another point analyzed is about the several aspects that can contribute to an individual's financial decisions; among them are: emotional, market factors, practical experiences, in addition to theoretical knowledge.O presente trabalho tem por objetivo detectar o impacto da educação financeira frente as ofertas de consumo nas decisões de crédito e poupança. Estudos apontam que a educação financeira proporciona o aprimoramento de habilidades e técnicas acerca das finanças, o que acarreta processos de tomada de decisões mais assertivas. Porém, outros aspectos são influenciadores nas decisões. Sendo que, os mais significativos são: o forte impacto das mídias nas decisões de consumo dos indivíduos e as diversas ofertas de crédito do mercado, disponíveis de forma desburocratizadas e atrativas. A pesquisa foi realizada em dois grupos, cada um composto por 40 alunos, todos eles do curso de administração. O primeiro grupo é composto por alunos que cursaram até o quarto período, e geralmente ainda não tiveram disciplinas na área de finanças. Já o segundo grupo é composto por alunos que cursam a partir do sétimo período, e que já estudaram as disciplinas principais de finanças, se não todas. A pesquisa é de cunho quantitativo e descritivo, e o método utilizado foi o survey. Com base nos resultados foi possível afirmar que apenas o conhecimento teórico difundido nas universidades não é suficiente para a formação de um bom gestor financeiro; e que a prática dos conhecimentos sobre as finanças representa maior resultado, em detrimento apenas da teoria. Outro ponto analisado é que existem diversos aspectos que podem contribuir nas decisões financeiras do indivíduo; entre eles estão: fatores emocionais, de mercado, vivências práticas, além dos conhecimentos teóricos.São Cristóvão, S
