Repositório institucional como ferramenta de preservação da memória e disseminação do conhecimento no ensino público superior sergipano

This research aims to understand the role of the Institutional Repository - IR in the preservation of the digital memory and dissemination of scientific and academic knowledge, bringing the reports of the experiences of the IR of the institutions of public higher education in the state of Sergipe, Institutional Repository of the Federal University of Sergipe - RI-UFS and the Institutional Repository of the Federal Institute of Sergipe - RIFS. Researches produced by Marcondes; Sayão (2009), Dodebei (2009), Bittencourt (2004), Le Goff (1990) were used as theoretical basis. This research is descriptive, having as methods applied the bibliographic survey in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and in the IR of the researched institutions; and interviews performed with the librarians who participated in the RI-UFS creation process. Through this study it was verified that these digital repositories have integrated important networks of exchange of research in the national scenario and have been contributing to a greater visibility of the institutions that represent them.Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo entender o papel dos Repositório Institucionais – RI na preservação da memória digital e disseminação do conhecimento científico-acadêmico, trazendo os relatos das experiências dos RI das instituições de ensino público superior no estado de Sergipe, o Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Sergipe - RI-UFS e o Repositório Institucional do Instituto Federal de Sergipe - RIFS. Foram utilizados como fundamento teórico pesquisas produzidas por Marcondes; Sayão (2009), Dodebei (2009), Bittencourt (2004), Le Goff (1990). Essa pesquisa é de caráter descritiva, tendo como métodos aplicados o levantamento bibliográfico na Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações e nos RI das instituições pesquisadas; e as entrevistas realizadas com os bibliotecários que participaram do processo de criação do RI-UFS. Por meio desse estudo constatou-se que esses repositórios digitais têm integrado importantes redes de intercambio de pesquisas no cenário nacional e vêm contribuindo para uma maior visibilidade das instituições que as representam.Aracaj
