Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients have compromised health related quality of life (HRQOL) by several reasons. This study aimed to evaluate HRQOL on hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients and to identify HRQOL associated factors. Methods: We conducted a transversal study with 215 patients on HD and 58 on PD between July and September 2013, in Sergipe, Brazil. HRQOL was assessed using the Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form Instrument- 1.3 (KDQOL-SF), consisting of two cores: specific (KDCS) and generic (RAND-36).
