Women in computing (v. 2)

This booklet is part of the extension project for popularization of the Computer Science in Sergipe state supported by PROEX-UFS. It is also linked to the productivity grant project of CNPQ-DTII coordinated by prof. Maria Augusta Silveira Netto Nunes, being developed at the department of computer/graduate program in Computer Science (PROCC) - UFS. The booklet is also the result of the project n° 420160/2013-2 from the call n° 18/2013 MCTI/CNPQ/SPM-BR/PETOBRÁS – “Meninas e Jovens fazendo Ciências Exatas, Engenharias e Computação”. The booklet introduced young readers, pre-universities students and students (especially for girls), a history of women's participation in computer science. One of the major goals is to awaken interest, promote and encourage sergipe and national public interest in computer science area.
