Introduction Psychologists have long believed that growing up in an institution like an orphanage limits a child\u27s mental development. Though some studies may report, but direct evidence to support this hypothesis is not available. Current figures from the general population of children have indicated the rising burden of poor mental health in our part of the world. This study aims to compare the mental health status of children living in an SOS village with those living in conventional orphanages.
