Activity Description of Eco-Tour 96/Biome Studies

In this activity, teams of students are asked to work as companies to develop travel brochures for a large ecotourism business. The companies must have tours from a variety of representative biomes. Each student develops a ten-day itinerary in which participants travel through an area without using motorized vehicles. The emphasis is placed on describing the highlights of the journey as an experience in the biome. Students produce an illustrated brochure to describe their trip. No special materials are needed. Educational levels: High school, Intermediate elementary, Middle school
