The National Map Corps consists of citizens who devote time to provide mapping information to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The USGS wants help in collecting data about structures (e.g. schools, hospitals, etc.) A link is also provided to the National Map, an online, interactive mapping service. National Map users can zoom and pan about a map of the United States, find and identify features, and add layers of administrative and cultural data, elevations, topography, geology, and other data.
