Add to ORKGThis site provides Internet versions of a series of six articles published in InterActive Teacher magazine. The articles cover a medley of ocean topics. The site also contains exercises and activities based upon each article topic. The articles and information are also available by mail for schools that are not online. The articles discuss topics such as El Nino, global warming, beach erosion, coral reef bleaching, hurricanes, thunderstorms, earthquakes, and harmful algal blooms. Activities adhere primarily to two sets of academic standards: 1) The National Science Education Standards and 2) Florida's Sunshine State Standards.
