This site is the Polar Meteorology module of the Naval Postgraduate School. The site contains five main sections; each of which is stand-alone. The first section is General Information. The second section is Vessel Icing, which contains a comprehensive presentation of the effects, causes, prediction methods and mitigation procedures for icing of vessels by sea spray. The third section is Climate, which focuses on the annual temperature cycle and how and why it varies within polar regions. The fourth section is Climate Change, which explores the role of polar regions in global climate changes using a simple global climate model.
