Optiputer: Earth Science for K-12 Education

This website provides visual resources for the Earth Science teacher to use in front of a classroom to foster group discussion. Its ultimate goal is to make scientific data, fresh from the field, readily available for K-12 teachers and students to use to enhance their understanding of earth science. This will require both installation of specialized hardware and development of pertinent software. This website is the first step in that process in that it provides background and introductory earth science materials needed for true understanding of current scientific research. This material will be useful for all earth science teachers and students. The curriculum covered here is correlated with the State of California Science Standards for K-12 education.
