Research led teaching is a matter which has recently attracted a considerable amount ofattention, particularly from those in higher education who are of the opinion that we need tovalue the link between teaching and research. Examining the relationship between teachingand research on two modules – one undergraduate, the other post graduate, this paperdraws upon the students’ experiences of research led teaching to provide evidence of howthey value the link between teaching and research and the connection research led teachinghas to learning. It provides evidence to suggest that students value the link betweenteaching and research, placing particular weight on research led teaching and the bearingwhich it has on the quality of their learning...
