We studied the transport properties of the charge density waves of the quasi-one-dimensional conductor NbSe3, at micron and submicron scale (down to 300 nm) and at low temperature (down to 4 K). We have developed a clean room process for microfabrication of charge density wave devices electrically connected by ohmic contacts. This allowed us to perform experiments on the effect of a force transverse to the motion of a charge density wave, we showed that the reduction of the threshold depinning field mentioned previously by another group was related to current injection inhomogeneity instead of an enhancement of the spatial coherence of the condensate.
