National audienceCould have French trade unions become interest groups ? Regardless of J.-D. Reynaud's analytical framework updated by P. Rosanvallon, general approaches to these organisations have generally drawn upon different lines. Notwithstanding theoretical interpretations, this article intends to investigate the transformations of French unionism over the last 25 years aside from a crisis approach. Over this period of time, traditional forms of actions, such as strikes, have deteriorated, the number of union members has sunken.
