Over this period of time, traditional forms of actions, such as strikes, have deteriorated, the number of union members has sunken. Similarly, the trade unionists found new resources, invested the places of negociation, professionalised their militancy.Les syndicats sont-ils des "groupes d'intérêts" ? L'approche - objective ou subjective - de ces organisations a emprunté généralement d'autres cheminements, en dépit d'un cadre d'analyse proposé par J.-D. Reynaud et actualisé par P. Rosanvallon. Au-delà de cet aspect théorique, cet article cherche à montrer et à analyser les transformations du syndicalisme depuis un quart de siècle et à dépasser une approche en termes de "crise" du syndicalisme. Depuis 25 ans, on a assisté à un déclin des forces traditionnelles d'action syndicale - notamment la grève -, à un effondrement du nombre de syndiqués, mais, parallèlement, les syndicalistes ont trouvé de nouvelles ressources, investi des lieux de négociation, professionnalisé leur militantisme
