El turismo rural comunitario y la equidad de género. El caso de la red Pachaq Paqareq, Perú

Esta investigación busca contribuir al debate sobre el potencial del Turismo Rural Comunitario (trc) como estrategia para mejorar la equidad de género en América Latina. Para ello, se presentan los resultados de una investigación etnográfica realizada en cuatro asociaciones, conformadas mayoritariamente por mujeres rurales e indígenas, que constituyen la primera red de Turismo Rural Comunitario en Perú. El análisis de las motivaciones que llevan a estas mujeres a participar, el tipo de trabajos que realizan, y hasta qué punto estos refuerzan o no los roles tradicionalmente asignados a las mujeres, son algunas de las preguntas que articulan esta investigación.The objective of this paper is to contribute to the debate on the potential of rural and community-based tourism (CBT) as a strategy to improve gender equity in Latin America. Therefore we present some results of an ethnographic research conductor in four associations of the first cbt network located in Peru, mainly formed by rural and indigenous women. What motivate them to participate in those initiatives? What is the type of work they do compared to men? To what extent their participation contributes to question the roles traditionally ascribed to women? Are some of the main purposes to be elucidated in this research
