The Politics of Europeanization deals with some classical questions raised by this research agenda: Does Europeanization lead to convergence? Is it best understood as a top-down or an interactive process? Since it is a collective book, it is no wonder that no common answer emerges. However, two main conceptions of Europeanization come out. The first one conceives Europeanization as a sequential process. It's input is clearly identifiable and results from an institutional misfit between the European level and the domestics.
