A mesterséges intelligencia alkalmazásának hatása az adatvédelemre és annak uniós szabályozására

The actuality of my research is given by the fact that on 19 February 2020 the European Commission published its Communication on "European Data Strategy" and the "White Paper" on Artificial Intelligence (AI), in which it called for the development of a specific regulation on AI. Why is this important? On the one hand, the application of AI methods is becoming more widespread, but at the same time its use raises burning issues that need to be addressed jointly at European level. On the other hand, a good AI is based on the right amount and quality of data and their understandable processing, so the technology is not negligible from a data protection point of view either. In my previous research, my focus was on data protection, when I wrote a work on the relationship between GDPR rules and data security, which was awarded with 3rd place at the National Conference of the Scientific Students' Association in 2019. In addition, I was struck by the section of the Commission's strategy that the amount of data will increase at a rapid pace from 33 zettabytes in 2018 to 175 zettabytes in 2025. Such a set of data no longer needs to be regulated at the national level, as data do not stop at national borders either. The objectives of my current research include the exploration and analysis of the relevant Commission documents, the study of their application possibilities and, within this, the examination of whether they provide a solution to any legal problems that arise. In the course of my research, I would like to highlight the shortcomings of the regulation of AI and develop solutions to them, in order to make the protection of personal data even more effective in this emerging special area. Besides, in my work I dedicate a separate chapter on mapping how AI methods handle the socalled health data, as the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the coronavirus has also brought changes at the level of businesses, individual governments and the general public, forcing everyone to adapt. According to the new researches, the starting point for AI could be provided by an application based on ethical use and a set of rules that have followed from this. I believe it would be essential to process data by AI algorithms based on uniform provisions, therefore I plan to summarize and evaluate the already existing and foreseen provisions in this work
