The objective of my thesis was to investigate the interaction between mafic magmas and their sedimentary wall-rock.Chapter 1 is a short review of the effects of wall-rock assimilation on magma compositions and of the intrusion of magma on the texture and composition of the wall rocks (contact metamorphism).
