BACKGROUND: Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) ranks top among neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents. Due to a large number of unfavorable outcomes including psychiatric comorbidities, school problems, and lower socioeconomic status, early and effective treatment of ADHD is essential.
