Lack of Government and Community Support for Drug Rehabilitation Programs

America’s government should focus on supporting or developing programs that will be successful in aiding those struggling with drug abuse. By focusing on the support of programs and or their development, drug abuse and addictions would decrease in America’s society. Studies Researchers have concluded that many rehabilitation programs are successful in rehabilitating their clients but there are many addicts who do not remain in recovery very long. This research will review data that supports the need for the government to reevaluate its approach towards supporting addicts and the programs that aid in their rehabilitation in order to effectively help them re-enter into society and remain successful in recovery. This paper will review programs with different approaches towards helping these individuals recover as well as the success rates of each type of programs with different approaches
