The cosmological tensor power spectrum was shown to be modified by corrections due to loop quantum gravity. This opens a valuable window for observational tests of Planck-scale physics. However, the role played by the source term in the equation of motion for gravitational waves is quite intricate. I will clarify the situation and underline the important modifications induced by an adequate use of this quantum source term
