In most major religions today, high moral principles are established in religious doctrines. Believers are expected to worship their god and follow set standards which the church or god has established. Christians, for example, attempt to comply with the Ten Commandments; according to the Christian god, human beings are not supposed to commit adultery, lie, or covet their neighbor\u27s wealth.
