The evolution of technology and environmental problems has encouraged the development of new structures of electrical machines. In this thesis, we propose to study two structures: dual airgap disc machines and permanent magnets buried. Using current modelling tools (threedimensional finite element modelling with FLUX) with new optimization methods (digital design of experiments methods) and ferromagnetic materials rarely used at present (iron powder), a study will be conducted on the industrial potential of each structure. At the end of this research, we propose new efficient machines within the small and medium power range. These machines, combined with proper supply, can be used as variable speed drives in all sectors of industry.L'évolut...
