History and Conflicts of the Montana Environmental Policy Act

The purpose of this research project was to explore the history of Montana\u27s Environmental Policy Act and determine the impact it has had on environmental law in Montana, as well as where its future lies amidst the current demographic and political trends in this state. Being an outdoor enthusiast, something I have noticed about Montana in the past four years I have spent here is that the natural environment is a defining feature of the state. The reason I pursued this topic for my project was that I wanted to explore the dynamics of the changing political and demographical landscapes in Montana and the ramifications they will have on environmental policies such as MEPA
