Sugar sweetened beverages (SSBs) account for a significant portion of daily caloric intake for many individuals, especially Hispanic males. Hispanic males also have one of the highest rates of obesity in the United States. Both factors, individually or combined, put Hispanic males at an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. The purpose of this study was to assess the differences between vascular function in the Hispanic male population and the non-Hispanic male population, as well as the cause for any differences.
