Westlake Community Park by HDZ Engineering

The Westlake Community is currently lacking a community park and future residents are expanding due to a growing housing development. The Westlake park design will be a resource for the future residents of the area to have a recreational space to share. These renovations will be designed to current specifications of city and state codes. HDZ Engineering design scope will include Environmental Analysis, Structural Design, Site Layout Plan, Stormwater Control Plan, and the Combined Engineering Cost Estimate. We will be adding a community pool with gazebos, baseball field, multi purpose area, basketball courts, and a permeable paved parking lot in the surrounding 16-acre site. Our goal is to bring the Westlake community closer together by giving the residents a sprawling green area with attractions for all different outdoor activities. The need for a multipurpose green area and active zones built within one centralized area is the most important concept of the project. We want to build an area that can be enjoyed by all, bringing the community together. Environmental protection for surrounding areas that are discharged into nearby sloughs is of great concern. HDZ Engineering will design the Westlake Community Park in accordance with the Low Impact Development and design constraints of the San Joaquin County Water Control Plan. There will be a bioswale around the perimeter of the park which will be used for drainage and environmental filtration form the park\u27s runoff. Our mission is to develop an area that allows the surrounding residents room to interact with their family, friends, and neighbors. This is a thriving community that is continually growing and will put this area to beneficial use if built
