The Remote Sensing Group (RSG) of the Wyant College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona currently has a single hyperspectral instrument, a Spectrometer Arduino Mega (SpAM), deployed to its Radiometric Calibration Test Site (RadCaTS). Results have shown SpAM to be a robust and accurate instrument, however its high degree of customization makes it difficult to productively reproduce. The Hamamatsu C12880MA is a commercial micro-spectrometer that may provide a solution to RSG’s need for an easily deployable and reproducible hyperspectral instrument.
