Méthodes et outils pour l'innovation produit/process

It is now a well-established fact that the design process of a product is complex and takes place within conflicting contexts consisting of technical, economical, organisational and social aspects. Today, the generation of innovative products and processes is a key issue for companies' development and competitiveness. However, experience in practice highlights the difficulties and the weaknesses of the cooperation processes during the early design phases, especially when a new concept or an idea is proposed for consideration. During these early phases, exploring new alternatives (new technical concepts or technologies) can prove to be very difficult and off-putting as the actors find themselves devoid of knowledge in some areas and tend to remain faithful to traditional solutions that are already recognised to be stable and reliable. At this time, the goal is to legitimise the proposed idea but also to organize (and to invent) the necessary management processes in order to prepare the launch of the future project. In this context of early design phases, actors discuss the new ideas, drafts of solutions and exchange preliminary information that may be partially validated, incomplete, uncertain and ambiguous or even risky. Cooperation processes are quite unstructured and the confrontation of the different actors' points of view leads to informal exchanges. However they sometimes lead to the construction of official project development plans. Indeed, at the same time the work carried out during these phases widely determines the success of some of the innovative projects. The complexity of theses phases allied to the complexity of the organisation and the changing environment (strategic, economical, technical, social) gives them a particular status as a research topic where we find interwoven problems of organisation, sociological aspects, IT (Information Technology) tools implementation, knowledge, skills and practices.L'innovation constitue un enjeu majeur dans les processus de conception de systèmes mécaniques. Par conséquent, le champ de questionnement de ces travaux de recherche porte sur les dispositifs permettant aux acteurs d'une organisation industrielle de concevoir des produits répondant au mieux au triptyque coût, qualité, et délai de mise sur le marché du produit mais répondant, de plus en plus à des objectifs d'innovation. La question des méthodes et des outils d'aide à l'innovation est ici plus particulièrement abordée avec une approche socio-technique de plusieurs cas industriels d'intégration produit/process d'une nouvelle technologie. Nos observations et nos analyses montrent que l'innovation en phase amont de conception nécessite parfois de remettre en cause certains dispositifs traditionnels et conduit parfois les acteurs à travailler de manière informelle dans des phases particulières appelées " phases préparatoires ". Ces travaux montrent que l'innovation produit/process s'inscrit dans une dynamique complexe au niveau des réseaux d'acteurs et de l'organisation, et au niveau des connaissances mobilisées et des apprentissages. Cette thèse vise donc à montrer que l'instrumentation de l'action de conception dans un contexte d'innovation, nécessite d'être pensée au plus près de ces différents niveaux afin de permettre l'émergence de nouveaux outils. Dans cette optique, un outil informatique est proposé suite aux résultats précédents et illustre cette nouvelle approche tournée vers l'expression et l'interaction des différents points de vue d'acteurs pour favoriser la diffusion et la consolidation d'idées de concepts innovants aux interfaces des métiers. L'ensemble des informations d'un projet sont structurées autour de la mise au débat des critères de conception progressivement mobilisés par chaque acteur. Ainsi, cet outil est dédié au pilotage de solutions innovantes tout en permettant la réutilisation des informations et des compétences pour les projets futurs
