Analisis Transmigrasi Terhadap Tingkat Kesejahteraan Keluarga Transmigran Di Desa Purwodadi Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat

ABSTRACT 1990 it was recorded that 60% of the population in Indonesia lived on the island of Java which covers only 6.9% of the land area of Indonesia. Based on the 1990 population census, 70.4% came from Java. The remaining 16.45% comes from Sumatra, Sulawesi 6.5% and other islands 6.7%. Transmigration aims to reduce the surge in population density on the island of Java to achieve an equitable population balance. This study aims to analyze the level of welfare of transmigration families affected by transmigration residents and identify factors that cause the level of welfare for transmigrant families in Purwodadi Village, Tebing Tinggi sub-district, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The method used using descriptive survey method with sampling using Slovin method obtained as many as 100 respondents, namely 50 transmigrant actors and 50 transmigrant families. Data analysis method using quantitative descriptive analysis method. Transmigration carried out by the residents of Purwodadi village has an economic and social impact. The economic impact of the transmigrant population obtained an increase in income that can be said to be high because it is able to exceed the income of UMR ie Rp.2.649.034 in Jambi city for a month, the ownership of oil palm land that almost all transmigration residents have the land. The social impact of Customs in Purwodadi Village which the majority of the transmigration population is still attached to Javanese customs, the last level of education of trasmigran families is able to reach the level of lectures and high school level (high school). The type of work of the transmigration population before and after transmigration is on average to be a farmer, if in the city of origin to be a rice farmer while in the area occupied now become a farmer in oil palm trees, although both become farmers but the transmigration population thinks that being a palm tree farmer is more profitable.
