Analisis Faktor Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Kemiskinan Di Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2020

Poverty is a complex and multidimensional problem. Therefore, solutions and policies are needed to reduce poverty. This study aims to estimate the effect of the human development index, unemployment, district or city minimum wages and investment on poverty in East Java province in 2020 in 38 districts/cities of East Java Province. The analytical model used is multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study indicate that the human development index variable has a negative effect on poverty, the unemployment variable has a positive effect on poverty. Meanwhile, the district or city minimum wage and investment variables have no effect on poverty. To reduce poverty, the government can provide cheap and quality services to the poor, provide skills training needed in the world of work and facilitate investment licensing in order to create new job opportunities so as to provide welfare for the community and reduce poverty
