Peran Orang Tua Dalam Pendampingan Belajar Pada Anak Di Masa Pandemi Covid 19 Di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Carikan

The aims of this study include: 1) To describe the role played by parents in assisting children in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic; 2) To describe the inhibiting factors for parents in assisting children's learning during the Covid-19 pandemic; 3) To describe solutions in overcoming parental barriers in assisting children's learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the problems in this study, the method adopted in this study is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Because essentially they want to understand and express in depth or according to the language of the researcher, namely describing the role of parents in assisting learning for children during the Covid 19 pandemic carried out by Carikan State Elementary School. The results showed that there were 4 roles. The role of parents that emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic were as follows: 1) The role of parents as modeling by giving examples of attitudes and behavior from parents, examples of positive attitudes, to influence children to be enthusiastic about learning; 2) The role of parents as mentors to influence children in learning while studying at home. The first form of training can be said to be subtly positive in influencing children; 3) The role of parents as Organizing is to continue to provide solutions, such as the first obstacle is not having a smartphone, parents who do not have it immediately think of solutions in order to overcome these problems; 4) The role of parents in online learning as teaching is by teaching subject matter, teaching reading and also helping children access the internet. The inhibiting factors for the role of parents in the online learning process are about the economy, facilities, and limitations in operating cellphones or media. One of the solutions to overcome the inhibiting factors is by asking for help from someone who understands more about the operation of mobile phones, applications, and also the material taught during online learning
