Penerapan Health Belief Model Masyarakat Dalam Melakukan Vaksin Covid-19

After the discovery of the COVID-19 virus at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, China, we are still struggling to deal with this virus. Various viral mutations are growing. The way that can be taken to deal with this virus is to carry out a COVID-19 vaccine. The population's immunity to the COVID-19 virus occurs when 70% of the population has been vaccinated. Many factors influence a person's decision to vaccinate or not. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of the community’s health belief model in carrying out the COVID-19 vaccine. The subjects used were 6 the general public aged 19-45 years and have not been vaccinated. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. This study uses a qualitative-phenomenological approach with data collection using semi-structured interview techniques through 2 ways, namely online (Zoom and WhatsApp) and offline and analyzed by thematic analysis. The results of this study are in the form of a description of the application of the health belief model for each informant seen from the severity of the disease, the chance of getting the disease, the benefits of prevention and healing, barriers to prevention/healing, self-efficacy, cues to act and the factors that influence the informant in administering the vaccine. From 6 informants, the researchers concluded that the decision to vaccinate or not is influenced by many factors, including hoax news, knowledge related to vaccines, anxiety and fear of side effects after the vaccine, the availability of free vaccines as well as vaccine-free letters required for activities in public spaces
