Epiduraalanesteesia mõju valu vastusele sääreluuköpruse edendamise operatsiooni ajal koertel

Final Thesis Curriculum in Veterinary MedicineCranial cruciate ligament rupture (CrCLR) is one of the most common cause of lameness in dogs and one of the most frequently seen orthopedical problem in medium to large dog breeds. The main aim of this study was to show the importance of epidural anaesthesia in dogs preoperatively to the surgery in order to decrease the use of emergency analgesia with fentanyl. The specific aim was to evaluate pain response during surgery. Excessive use of inhalation anaesthesia and analgesia during surgery will prolong the recovery period of patients, as well as having negative effect on the patient regarding the respiratory and circulatory systems. The study population for this study was 12 dogs of different breeds, between the age of one to ten years old. Each animal was obtained from the University of Life Sciences small animal clinic, and were scheduled to undergo orthopaedical tibial tuberosity advancement surgery. All dogs were also divided into classes according to the American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA). All dogs were in class 1-2. All dogs in this study received a fixed anesthetic protocol.Kraniaalse ristatisideme rebend on üheks sagedasemaks koerte lonkamise põhjuseks ja üks levinum ortopeediline probleem keskmist ja suurt tõugu koerte puhul. Lõputöö peaeesmärk oli näidata perioperatiivse epiduraalanesteesia olulisust koerte kirurgilise ravi puhul, et vähendada fentanüüliga erakorralise analgeesia kasutamist. Töö spetsiifiliseks eesmärgiks oli hinnata valule reageerimist operatsiooni ajal. Inhalatsioonianesteesia ja analgeesia ülemäärane kasutamine operatsiooni ajal pikendab patsientide taastumisperioodi ning avaldab negatiivset mõju patsiendi hingamis- ja vereringesüsteemile. Lõputöö uuringus osales 12 erivat tõugu koera vanuses 1-10 aastat. Kõik loomad olid Tartu Maaülikooli Väikeloomakliiniku patsiendid ja neile oli kavandatud kirurgiline ravi sääreluuköpruse edendamiseks. Kõik koerad klassifitseeriti Ameerika Anestesioloogide Seltsi (ASA) süsteemi järgi. Kõik koerad paigutusid 1-2 rühma. Kõikidele selles uuringus osalenud koertele määrati fikseeritud anesteesia protokoll
