Using biostimulants on young plants of hawthorn (Crataegus Jacq. em. Lindm)

Magistritöö Aianduse õppekavalViirpuu on roosiõieliste sugukonda kuuluv, kuni 5m kõrgune põõsas. Sobib kasutamiseks haljastuses hekina või soolopuuna. Viirpuid saab paljundada pookimise teel kuid siis on probleemiks on poogendi kehv kasv esimesel kasvuaastal ja aluse kehv juurdumine potis. Olukorra parandamiseks on katsetatud erinevate biostimulantide kasutusele võttu, mis soodustaks juurdumist ja stimuleeriksid poogendi kasvu. Biostimulant on looduslik preparaat mis soodustab taimel nii vegetatiivsete kui ka generatiivsete kasvu. Paljud katsed teiste liikidega on juba positiivseid tulemusi näidanud. Samuti on taimekasvatusettevõtetel oluline teada millised on parimad ja tõhusamad biostimulaatorid mida saaks kasutada. Käesoleva töö eesmärgiks oli välja selgitada erinevate biostimulantidega kastmise mõju üheemakasele viirpuule (C. monogyna) poogitud tömbilehise viirpuu (C. laevigata) sordi 'Paul`s Scarlet' kasvule. Katses kasutatavateks biostimulantideks olid TrianumP, Humistar, Radifarm ja RuterAA. Saadud tulemustest võib järeldada, et biostimulantidega kastmine soodustas viirpuu poogendi jämedust ja poogendi kasvu ning biostimulantidega kastmine soodustas istikute toitainete omastamist substraadist. Katse algul püstitatud hüpoteesid leidsid kinnitust.Hawthorn is a shrub up to 5 m tall belonging to the rose flower family. Suitable for use in landscaping as a hedge or solo tree. Hawthorn can be propagated by grafting, but the poor growth of the graft and the poor rooting of the rootstock in the pot during the first year are a probleem. To improve the situation, attempts have been made to introduce various biostimulants that would promote rooting and stimulate graft growth. Biostimulant is a natural preparation that promotes both vegetative and generative growth of the plant. Many experiments with other species have already shown positive results. It is also important for plant growers to know what the most effective and suitable biostimulants are in the market. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of watering with different biostimulants on Midland hawthorn`s (C. laevigata) cv 'Paul`s Scarlet' grafted on common hawthorn (C. monogyna) growth. The biostimulants used in the experiment were TrianumP, Humistar, Radifarm and RuterAA. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the irrigation with biostimulants promoted the thickness and growth of the hawthorn graft and the irrigation with biostimulants facilitated the uptake of nutrients from the substrate.
