Lineability of sets of real continuous functions that reach a maximum at a single point

In this work, we will present the concept of lineability and some applications in sets of functions. The elements of such sets will be continuous functions that reach the absolute maximum at a single point in their domain. In the first chapter, we will see some notions of Metric Spaces, General Topology and Functional Analysis that will be used throughout the work. In the second chapter, we will present some results for sets of functions whose domains are the real line and some of its intervals. In the third chapter, we will generalize the results of the previous chapter to more general domains.CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e TecnológicoTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Neste trabalho, apresentaremos o conceito de lineabilidade e algumas aplicações em conjuntos de funções. Tais conjuntos têm a característica de seus elementos serem funções contínuas que atingem o máximo absoluto em um único ponto de seu domínio. No primeiro capítulo, veremos algumas noções de Espaços Métricos, Topologia Geral e Análise Funcional que serão utilizadas ao longo do trabalho. No segundo capítulo, apresentaremos alguns resultados considerando conjuntos de funções cujos domínios serão a reta e alguns de seus intervalos. No terceiro capítulo, vamos generalizar os resultados do capítulo anterior para domínios mais gerais
