Cancer is one of the leading causes of death or euthanasia in companion animals where studies suggest that almost 50% of animals that live to 10 years or more die from this disease. Many factors can contribute to the onset and worsening of the disease and the establishment of databases for epidemiological studies of cancer can help in the prevention and treatment of the disease, being used for the understanding of risk factors and frequency of tumors.
