Análise Epidemiológica da Coqueluche em Uberlândia e Região do triângulo Norte, 2008 a 2017

The general objective of the present study is to know the epidemiological profile of pertussis in the city of Uberlândia and as specific objectives: to trace the retrospective history of pertussis, especially in the city of Uberlândia/MG and region in the period of ten years (2008-2017); survey the proportion of occurrence of pertussis and characterize the population affected by pertussis in the city of Uberlândia/MG. This is a retrospective observational research, of a descriptive-comparative nature and with a quantitative approach. Data were obtained through SINAN NET, the National Disease and Disease Registry Notification System with the support of the SRS in Uberlândia, using information contained in the notification forms for whooping cough (sociodemographic, clinical and epidemiological variables) among years of 2008 and 2017. Conclusion: it can be seen that of the 388 cases of pertussis reported between 2008 and 2017, 327 (84.27%) were in the city of Uberlândia, the highest incidence of notifications occurred in younger children 01 year old. After 2014, there was a decrease in reported cases and this probably occurred due to the inclusion of the DTPa vaccine in the pregnant woman's calendar, with the purpose of protecting the newborn against pertussis. Another important data evidenced in this study was the low rate of notifications in the rural area when compared to the urban area, which makes us reflect on the question of the assistance provided to this population that lives far from the metropolitan areas and who need care.Understanding that pertussis is an immunopreventable disease, it is of fundamental importance to plan and adopt surveillance measures through actions to promote, prevent and control complications of the disease in hospital institutions and the health network as a whoDissertação (Mestrado)O objetivo geral do presente estudo é conhecer o perfil epidemiológico da coqueluche no município de Uberlândia/MG e como objetivos específicos: a) descrever o histórico retrospectivo da Coqueluche, em especial no município de Uberlândia/MG no período de dez anos (2008-2017); b) Verificar a proporção de ocorrência da Coqueluche e caracterizar a população acometida pela Coqueluche no município de Uberlândia/MG. Trata-se de uma pesquisa observacional retrospectiva, de natureza descritiva-comparativa e com abordagem quantitativa. Os dados foram obtidos através do SINAN NET, o Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação com o apoio da Superintendência Regional de Saúde ( SRS) de Uberlândia, utilizando-se de informações contidas nas fichas de notificação para coqueluche (variáveis sociodemográficas, clínicas e epidemiológicas) entre os anos de 2008 e 2017. Diante dos resultados, pode-se observar que dos 388 casos de coqueluche notificados no período de 2008 a 2017, 327 (84,27%) foram no município de Uberlândia, as maiores incidências de notificações ocorreram em crianças menores de 01 ano de idade. Após 2014 observou-se um decréscimo de casos notificados e tal fato ocorreu provavelmente devido à inclusão da vacina DTPa no calendário da gestante, com a finalidade de proteção do recém-nascido contra coqueluche. Outro dado importante evidenciado nesse estudo foi o baixo índice de notificações na zona rural quando comparado com a zona urbana, o que nos faz refletir sobre a questão da assistência prestada a essa população que vive longe das zonas metropolitanas e que necessitam de cuidado. Entendendo ser a coqueluche uma doença imunoprevenível, é de fundamental importância o planejamento e a adoção de medidas de vigilância através de ações de promoção, prevenção e o controle de complicações da doença nas instituições hospitalares e rede de saúde como um todo
