Mapeamento da violência contra a mulher em Uberlândia - MG

In the year 2021, the Maria da Penha law completed 15 years of existence, this law is one of the main tools to restrain domestic and family violence against women. Violence against women can be understood as a relation of power in which the woman is submissive to the man, this condition is often given due to cultural and socioeconomical factors, which happen in an unequal form in a given space. The objective of this paper is configured in the mapping of registered occurrences of violence against women in the city of Uberlandia, in order to identify regions with points of vulnerability. Through data obtained by the Civil Police of the state of Minas Gerais about registered occurrences of violence against women in the years 2015 to 2020, a thematic map was produced using the occurrences by neighborhood in the urban spot of Uberlandia, altogether with socioeconomical variables obtained via the demographic census performed in 2010 by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. A standardization was reported in the location of the analyzed occurrences, concentrated in the South region and peripheral neighborhoods. The mapping techniques for this thematic were considered very important to identify the areas with greater risk and vulnerability, thus, being useful to guide public policies to prevent and fight violence against women.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)No ano de 2021 a Lei Maria da Penha completou 15 anos de existência. Esta lei é uma das principais ferramentas para coibir a violência doméstica e familiar contra a mulher. Esse tipo de violência pode ser entendido como uma relação de poder onde a mulher é submissa ao homem. Muitas vezes esta condição se dá por fatores socioeconômicos e culturais, que acontecem de forma desigual sob o espaço. O objetivo deste trabalho configura-se no mapeamento das ocorrências registradas de violência contra a mulher na cidade de Uberlândia, de forma a identificar regiões que são focos de vulnerabilidade. Através de dados obtidos pela Polícia Civil do Estado de Minas Gerais de ocorrências registradas de violência contra a mulher nos anos de 2015 a 2020, elaborou-se mapas temáticos com as ocorrências por bairro na mancha urbana de Uberlândia, juntamente com variáveis socioeconômicas obtidas pelo censo demográfico realizado no ano de 2010, pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Verificou-se uma padronização de localidade nas ocorrências analisadas, concentradas na região sul e bairros mais afastados da região central. As técnicas de mapeamento para esta temática mostraram-se importantes para identificação de áreas de maior risco e vulnerabilidade, podendo, dessa forma, ser utilizadas para a orientação de políticas públicas no combate e prevenção da violência contra a mulher
