The book provides a cross-country study of regulations determining the oversight of all types of internal security forces and a set of recommendations which aimed at aligning Turkey with EU standards. How to compare the governance of internal security sector across nations? Based on national reviews, systematic tables are elaborated in order to compare different countries on a number of variables relating to civilian oversight of internal security forces.
