International audienceWireless communication systems had an enormous growth in the last decade: GSM, WiFi, RFID, blue-tooth... They are now present everywhere in our environment with the electromagnetic waves (EMW) that go with them. Curiously, however, there is not so many techniques to block or to attenuate those EMW that are well adapted to protect rooms, apartments or industrial buildings. In that context, we developed and proposed a wallpaper that selectively blocks EMW. It is made of a paper substrate on which a conductive frequency selective surface (SSF) is printed with conductive ink. A new design of SSF was specially developed for that application.
